In 1997, after much thought I called up a friend to take me to get my first piercing. I had wanted my tongue pierced since I was about 15 and I finally decided that now was as good a time as any. My friend Trevor (who is currently a body piercer at Side Effects in Margate, FL) took me to see a piercer by the name of Brian, at Bulldog Tattoos. After a little arm twisting I sat down, stuck my tongue out, and BLAM, my tongue was pierced. It was that easy!! I woke up the following day and decided to go online and read exactly what I had got myself into. I typed "tongue piercing" into my favorite search engine, DOGPILE, and was immediately directed to the most amazing website I had ever seen. It was BME, the Body Modification Ezine. It was at that time that my life was changed forever. I began reading, and reading, and reading. Every free moment I had was devoted to reading about the amazing world of tattoos, piercings, and body modification. I beg every piercer at every tattoo shop I went to, to teach me this wonderful art form known as body piercing. After two years of begging my hard work finally paid off when Shannon, of Ink Link Tattoos, gave me the opportunity I had been waiting for. In September of 2000 I became Shannon's apprentice. I picked everything up very, very quickly, especially since I had devoted so much time to learning all I could about body piercing.
     December 2000 I was finally able to proudly call myself a "Professional Body Piercer." Now, today, I continue to work as a Master Body Piercer for Hellcat Tattoos in West Palm Beach, FL. To this day I have done more than a hundred thousand piercings in every thought of place on the body. I have been featured on MTV's Made episode 605 as well as The Hellraiser book published by McFarland and written by Paul Kane. From the most intricate ear cartilage, to putting a 3 inch piece of teflon through the back of your neck, to creating a corset of steel and ribbon on your back, I can do it all.
